f. "Sophia Advisory Council" will be formed.
To advise and help us in the formulation and execution of our plans we will form an "Advisory Council" composed of knowledgeable persons from within and outside Sophia.

g. 'A compilation committee for publication that explains our development plans' will be formed.

2. Schedule for Planning

a. January to May 2001
(1) Establish a preparatory planning office in January 2001

(2) Up to March 2001, the Board of Trustees will gather opinions, proposals, criticisms, and doubts about the Grand Layout (i.e., this interim report) from all units of Sophia and from individuals.

(3) In April, 2001, the Board of Trustees' second interim report of the Grand Layout will be published. After that the final plan will be recognized, taking into consideration the various opinions and comments gathered through May or at the latest July of this year.

b. From May, 2001, the process of consideration will begin
(1) From May, 2001, meetings of the "Expanded Long-range Planning Committee" will begin.

(2) By the end of January 2002, based on the final Grand Layout, a "New Hoffmann Plan" will be drawn up. Concerning points requiring further investigation and study that come up while finalizing the Grand layout, especially those which involve basic planning for buildings, decisions will be made by Jan 2002, although another year may be necessary for some matters. Those items which require more study will be carefully scrutinized, even if more time is needed, and we will make clear our priorities in the short-, medium, and long-time categories.

(3) The Board of Trustees will formally finalize the New Hoffmann Plan in various stages.

c. From 2002 planning begins
(1) The execution of the New Hoffmann Plan will begin in 2002 and continue in preparation for Sophia's 100th anniversary.
